How we work together and what to expect from delivery.

Collaboration & Remote

Do you work exclusively as a freelancer or also in fixed teams?

Both. I gladly take on complete projects independently as a freelancer, but I also integrate seamlessly into existing development teams to help cover capacity bottlenecks when needed.

Is pure remote collaboration possible?

Yes, absolutely. I work predominantly remote and am perfectly equipped to handle projects completely digitally and efficiently using modern tools like Slack, Teams, and Zoom.

Do you also work outside of Cologne?

Of course. Even though I am based in Cologne, I work with clients from all over Germany and internationally.

Which project management tools do you use?

I am flexible and happy to adapt to your tools. By default, I use Jira, Trello, Asana, or Notion for project planning, as well as GitHub/GitLab for code management.

AI & Development

Do you work with AI?

Yes. AI is an integral part of delivery, from initial drafts to code and tests. I define the tasks, supply context and verify the results. We agree in advance which tools and data may be used.

What is your stance on 'vibe coding'?

Fast experimentation is valuable. For a production system, I add clear architecture, version control, reviews and testing. What matters is not who types the code, but whether the result works and can be understood.

What does a developer add when AI writes code?

My contribution is in the decisions around the code: clarifying requirements, designing systems, directing AI and evaluating results. Programming experience helps me spot errors and dead ends early and evolve the product deliberately.

Costs, Security & Contracts

How is the pricing structured (fixed price vs. hourly rate)?

That depends on the project. For clearly defined projects, I am happy to offer transparent fixed prices. For agile projects with dynamic requirements, I bill fairly and comprehensibly on an hourly or daily rate basis.

Are there ongoing costs after the launch?

Not necessarily, but it is highly recommended. After the launch, you can book maintenance contracts for updates, security patches, and performance monitoring to keep the website secure and up to date in the long run.

Are the websites implemented in a GDPR-compliant manner?

Yes, data protection is a top priority. All websites and applications I develop are implemented according to the current GDPR guidelines by default (including cookie consent management and privacy-by-design).

Do you offer Service Level Agreements (SLAs)?

Yes, I offer SLAs for critical web applications and shops. These include guaranteed response times in case of outages as well as regular backups and proactive security updates.
